When you need a nimble strategist to tell a story, a writer to put a friendly face on technical content, or a content producer to find the sweet spot between words and images to reach – and teach – people, give me a call. I can help.

About

I'm a versatile editor, writer, and content producer with past leadership roles as Editorial Director and Executive Editor. I have edited photojournalism books – one was named a "Top Five Book of the Year" by the American Library Association. I have ghostwritten books for physicians and CEOs, created best-practices patient engagement publications for healthcare clients, and been information designer and managing editor for website start-ups. Before writing and editing for WebMD, I wrote for Glamour, Self, and other national magazines; was developmental editor for narrative nonfiction trade books; and taught writing at the Hugo House in Seattle, at Rockport College in Maine, and to private students on both coasts.

I'm adept at styles from journalism to copywriting, with unique skills in health care, information design, and visual storytelling. I have a BA in Semiotics from Brown University, an MFA in Writing from Bennington, and attended Stanford University's Professional Publishing Course.
